RockBox Student Sites to Stay Open During Latest Lockdown
We are pleased to update that our campus screens will remain live and be in open premises on campus during the latest November Lockdown. Our screens are situated in Students’ Union buildings which are the heart of most university campuses.
Michelle Donelan MP : Minister of State for Universities, has written to all students explaining that they should continue to learn at university for the remainder of this term.
In line with the academic buildings remaining open the Students’ Union will also continue to allow access to students for essential services, shopping and study space.
Given the national lockdown and closure of external hospitality venues, we expect the Union space to offer a welcome relief and a place where students can study on campus.
We have seen in recent weeks that students are still visiting campus despite learning being predominantly blended or online. Students still need to visit campus for services and to use the library etc. The spaces also provide study spaces and a welcome escape from accommodation.
At present we are tracking footfall on a weekly basis, please reach out to your contact for info on specific campuses.
